There was a lot of doom and gloom leading up to Brexit vote surrounding the uncertainty that it would bring.
However things might not be bad at all for the IT industry in the UK according to figures obtained from recruiter websites which despite a significant overall drop show a 14% increase in IT jobs when compared to figures for the same period in 2015.
IT developer positions account for the majority of the demand.
Whilst other areas have witnessed a decline there are reports that this is not as big as had been expected and it is hoped that this is merely due to a cautious approach from employers who are freezing recruitment until things settle down.  An optimistic prediction for contracting positions is that there might be an initial surge as many employers look to find temporary solutions as opposed to permanent ones until the exit has finalised in two years time.
